We have an immediate requirement for multiple stone surface polishers and installers to join our growing fabrication and installation team.   The Polisher/Installer’s focus is to provide polishing and installation services as part of the fabrication and installation team.

Duties and   Responsibilities 

· read   and follow work order specifications 

· grind   and polish quartz and other stone surfaces to desired finish according to   process and using appropriate tools in a safe manner (i.e. air/water   polisher)

· inspect   polished projects and follow procedures to address any issues

· load   and unload completed projects, including additional materials and   accessories, in a safe manner to/from truck 

· install   quartz and other stone surfaces according to process using appropriate tools   in a safe and professional manner, including adjustments where required 

· inspect   installed projects and follow post-installation procedures to address any   issues

· follow   all health and safety procedures

· provide feedback to supervisor regarding process   improvements

· general   cleanliness and maintenance of workstations and fabrication shop 

· other   duties and responsibilities as required to support the general operation of   the business

Qualifications 

· a   minimum of one (1) year of experience as a polisher/installer of stone   surface counter tops

· ability   to operate and safely use required equipment and trade tools

· good physical fitness, ability to repetitively   stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, kneel for long periods of time and lift and   safely handle heavy loads

· strong   attention to detail and keen eye for precision; strong math and analytical   skills

· good   interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented with strong work ethic

· high   level of responsibility and reliability, with effective time management   skills

· professionalism   in manner and appearance

· experience   working with kitchen counter tops or cabinetry layout an asset

· ability to work independently and meet tight   deadlines with minimal supervision
